Kosher Spam

Lately, I've noticed my spam filter has been catching some interesting emails. In particular, the word hillel has appeared several times!
A hillel email in my spam catcher
I'm not sure what to make of this, but maybe the spammers are trying to appeal to the Jewish crowd?

I don't really want to open the emails to see what's inside, and I doubt it would actually end up being anything relating to Judaism. But, at least I know if I ever want kosher spam, I have to look no further than my own email!

In other email news, I received one from a professor this morning, stating the classroom for our class is changing. This is mostly beneficial because the first room really wasn't conducive to teaching engineering material. It was in the Center for Fine Arts... for whatever reason... but, now it's in the mechanical engineering building, Scaife Hall. My only disappointment is that we'll no longer have the neat view of north Pittsburgh afforded by the large windows in the room in the CFA. Ah well.

yes, but have you had any email telling you that skoyles.com will work again?

There is one branch of my family tree that has the surname "Hillel". Very nice name, too. Maybe it's a sign that you should start reading the Torah. Perhaps someone is telling you that you should spend the next ten years becoming fluent in Hebrew. Or maybe it's just random junk mail. C'est la vie, so the old folks...it goes to show you never can tell.

I miss Jasper :P

I think you need a Random entry in your wiki. (So I can edit it.)

I don't think that learning Hebrew is really the message. And I certainly wouldn't want to open the random messages.

ooo sounds like that view was pretty =)

also, one of my suite mates is jewish... sorta. i'm sure she'll enjoy this story =)

Well now the Bank of Scotland lately has been asking me to verify my account with them. P.T. Barnum was right. Those spammers would not be sending out all their stuff if the end result was nada. However, I would be very willing to go to Scotland and personally open an account. As to Hebrew, my friend Anna a descendent of WW II murders in Poland says Spanish is easier!!! She even had the courage to visit the place and see the ovens.

I periodically go 'cww blog surfing' to catch up on the news. Dicey place in Salisbury you say? The lobsters were great and the dicey is only in the eye of the beholder. When they opened they were less of a bar and more of a restaurant but as time has moved on the clientele has modified the focus. After all it is Salisbury the other side of Newburyport tracks!!!.

And, food lover that you are I must say that I loved cooking and entertaining at one time. You missed that era!! However, I feel it will come back upon my retirement in two years. I certainly hope it will. One memorable food moment with you was the pizza you made on the isle of Plum. It was yum!
